Attorney Gloria Allred announces she filed a defamation lawsuit against President-elect Donald Trump on behalf of Summer Zervos, who claims Trump subjected her to unwanted sexual touching.
(Reuters) – Attorney Gloria Allred announced on Tuesday (January 17) that she had filed a defamation lawsuit against President-elect Donald Trump on behalf of Summer Zervos.
“The lawsuit alleges that Ms. Zervos had been subjected to unwanted sexual touching by Donald Trump and that she had told family,” Allred said.
“I will be willing to dismiss my case against him immediately for no monetary compensation if he would simply retract his false and defamatory statements about me and acknowledge that I told the truth about him,” said Zervos.
Zervos, who competed on the fifth season of “The Apprentice” in 2006, had previously said Trump kissed her, touched her breast and tried to get her to lie down on a bed with him during a meeting about a possible job.
Zervos said she thought Trump was going to take her to dinner to discuss a job, but the meeting took place in his bungalow at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
Trump released a statement denying her allegations and saying that the women accusing him of sexual misconduct fabricated their stories to damage his campaign.
Trump said the women may be motivated for financial reasons or political reasons.
